ANANURI COMPLEX

Ananuri is a fortress situated on the foreland by the Aragvi River, not far from Zhinvali water reservoir and about 70 km from Tbilisi, Georgia. It was built by the Dukes of Aragvi and its earliest parts date from the 13th century. The fortress is on the UNESCO Tentative list.The fortress consist of two fortifications joined by a crenelated curtain wall. The upper fortification with a large square tower, known as Sheupovari, is well-preserved. The lower fortification, with a round tower, is mostly in ruins.

The earliest one is a small church built in the early 4 th century. It was built soon after the declaration of Christianity the official religion of the country.Along to visit monastery complex, the place is worth to visit because of its geographical location. You can look over Alazani valley and enjoy with mountains landscape.BODBE MONASTERY-St. George monastic and Episcopal complex, situated in Bodbe (Kakheti) is the national Georgian relic. In St. George cathedral are kept the remains of Nino of Cappadocia, Equal-to-the-Apostles, the great Baptist of Georgia, the harbinger of Christianity. The cult complex in Bodbe was repeatedly repaired and restored. In the 16th – 17th centuries Bodbe was the important educational centre. In 1837 the monastery was abolished. And in 1889 the convent of St. Nino Equal-to-the-Apostles was opened and is active until now.
SIGNAGI-The Georgian town of Sighnaghi is located in the eastern part of Kakheti, and is known as the City of Love. The town has recently undergone significant restoration and infrastructural improvement, rendering Sighnaghi a must-see destination in Georgia. The town sits atop a bluff overlooking the Alazani Valley, which is one of Georgia’s most famous wine-producing regions. Sighnaghi is a great place to start a wine tour in Georgia’s prime wine country, especially since several vineyards and wineries are just a short drive from the town’s center. The surreal views of the Greater Caucasus Mountains add an extra level to the scenery.

Borjomi & Rabati Tour

Borjomi park

is famous for the water available from the springs. People come with bottles to take water from here. There are lot of activities inside the park and also a waterfall and a wine museum. The town is most famous for its mineral water industry, which is the number one export of Georgia. Borjomi is also home to the most extensive ecologically-themed amusement park in the Caucasus.

BORJOMI THERMAL WATERS

This natural mineral water park is located inside a forest and you have to take a long walk through the forest to reach it. The walk is very relaxing, as you can feel the cool breeze and the sound of the flowing river nearby. You have to cross some bridges and sometimes walk through snow, if it is winter time. There are so many huge trees and different types of small plants with colorful flowers. It will take at least one hour to reach the mineral water pool. A dip in the pool which has got healing properties is rejuvenating to the body and mind.

Rabati

is a genuine on the square of seven hectares. The territory of the fortress is divided into a lower modern part and upper historical one. The lower part has shops, cafes, restaurant and a hotel. The upper part comprises of Akhmediye mosque (18th century), an Orthodox church (19th century), Djakeli palace, and the History Museum. Apart from this, the Rabati fortress has excellent viewing sites: there are four towers above the walls, where you can go up the winding stairs. Each of them has a wonderful view of Akhaltsikhe and its surroundings, and one can imagine being a guard watching an upcoming enemy. But if this does seem not enough, then you can get to the citadel roof in the western part of the fortress where you get the best ever view.

Mtkheta,Jvari monastery & Uflistsikhet Tour

Jvari Monastery

Jvari Monastery – Built in the 6th century,Jvari Monastery stands on a mountaintop at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking Mtskheta, the former capital of Georgia The monastery was built on the site of a large wooden cross erected by Saint Nino in the early 4th century. Saint Nino preached Christianity in Georgia and converted the pagan king Mirian III of Iberia who declared Christianity the official religion in 327 A.D. In 545 A.D. Jvari was listed together with other monuments of Mtskheta in 1994 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Svetitskhoveli

Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta – Situated at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers, the cathedral was built by architect Arsukidze in the early 11th century and is the place where Georgian kings were crowned and buried. Known as the burial site of Christ’s mantle, Svetitskhoveli has long been one of the principal Georgian Orthodox churches and is among the most venerated places of worship in the region. Svetitskhoveli is considered an endangered cultural landmark; it has survived a variety of adversities, and many of its priceless frescoes have been lost due to being whitewashed by the Russian Imperial authorities.

Uflitsikhe

an ancient cave town and one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia. The town represents a complex of various structures dating from the 12 cent. BC to the 17th century. Uplistsikhe is situated on the left Bank of River Mtkvari.
